My career as a CPA began in 1991. I was fortunate after I finished college at Villanova University to he hired by one of the “Big Four” accounting firms. I spent four years with the firm KPMG working in Orange County and in the Philadelphia office near where I had attended college. I made the move back to California in 1995 and Klarin & Associates has been my home since I returned. During my tenure here, I have held leadership positions in the Orange County Long Beach Chapter of CalCPA including being the Chapter President.
The thing I enjoy most about the work I do at Klarin & Associates is developing relationships with clients. Sitting in a tax planning meeting gives me an opportunity to understand people as individuals and not just study their numbers. Once I understand the person I can find ways to help them in a more meaningful and effective way. I pride myself on my ability to formulate customized plans and then guide and support my clients in the execution.
I am a fan of college basketball. I love to follow Villanova every year and I look forward to their next NCAA Championship! I also enjoy time with my family. We love to travel together.

For more than 20 years, I have devoted my career to the essential personal and corporate banking functions of my clients. Whether it's bookkeeping, invoicing, insurance, or accounts payable, I anticipate each individual's needs and specialize in identifying and solving problems before they occur.
Balancing demands as a team member of a financial and tax services CPA firm takes a very unique skill set. I am detail-oriented, and take a great deal of pride in my every project I undertake. But my work is far more than decimal points and interest rates.
Decisions about money are always personal. People are motivated by far more than the bottom line. My Bachelors of Science in psychology degree has given me that special perspective on much of what motivates clients in their decision making.
I work well under stress, thrive under pressure and deadlines and enjoy a challenge. I also love a good joke and as a California transplant—I admit—I'm a “country girl” through and through.
I love my job, but my true joy is my family. Life is always exciting with a husband and two teenagers—they fill my house with love, laughter, and late nights. I've also spent years working at a crisis reconciliation center, a teen homeless shelter and in the special education field. Between all of this and the years of leadership at my children's school, I have a mixture of perspectives that translate usefully to my interactions with people in all walks of life.
My promise to you: Upfront, honest, and trustworthy service, delivered with speed and accuracy in a positive manner.

I studied accounting all through college and particularly fell in love with tax and tax preparation. I am in the process of becoming a CPA. I first got into accounting and finance when I realized I had a passion for dealing with real-world numbers; numbers that would have a “right” answer and would tell a story. Learning to read these stories has been one of the things I love the most about my career.
I joined the Klarin & Associates team in January of 2020 after a relocation from Northern California. I have greatly enjoyed becoming a team member. I think of myself as a focused worker. When I approach a task, I put all others aside and focus on what is in front of me. When that one is completed I move to the next thing in front of me. This has led me to be confident in the work I complete.

I have a Management Science degree from UC San Diego, and became a CPA in 1994. What I like most about the public accounting profession is the variety it offers, both in the client profile and in the type of services a CPA can provide. No two days are the same. No two clients are the same. I pride myself on listening to each client’s needs, and providing service and advising in an individually tailored way.
I joined Klarin & Associates in 2019 and bring many years of experience in the tax and financial statement areas to the firm. I have been actively involved in CalCPA and am a past Education Foundation chair.
